Mindfulness-based interventions have been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of eating disorders and substance use disorders. With the high incidences of comorbidity, it is important to identify strategies that are beneficial in the treatment of the whole person. Mindfulness invites a patient to be present in the moment and assist in building distress tolerance and acceptance.
